A shared model comes first
Enterprise technology decisions often begin with a product shortlist. A more useful starting point is a shared model of the business capability, the systems involved and the constraints that shape delivery.
Map the dependencies
Identify which services rely on each other, where information crosses trust boundaries and who owns each decision. Make operational and procurement constraints visible alongside functional requirements.
Design for acceptance
For each workstream, record the intended outcome, acceptance evidence and accountable reviewer. A diagram becomes useful when it helps people make decisions and validate what was delivered.
Choose with context
Evaluate technology against the agreed architecture and operating model. Treat unsupported assumptions as questions for discovery, rather than promises in the proposal.
This is a general planning perspective. Specific requirements, constraints and suitability should be reviewed for your engagement.
